Ki Ora bloggers welcome to another one of my blog posts. Today I would like to talk about our production our school did. Now for those people who don't know what a production is. It's a show that tells a story and there is a cast, scenes, even props! We usually do a production about a movie. Except change it up a little, Our production was called Jasmine and Aladdin. Here is an explanation of how the production went.
So basically Omar wants a lamp and sends Geewiz to go find this guy named Aladdin to open the cave of wonders. He finds him in a struggle with princess Jasmine and his pet cat Persia; he saves him from trouble. He was in his debt and went into the cave of wonders with Persia and found the lamp and polished it only to find a genie. The genie allowed to grant him 3 wishes. He told him that Omar and him were big foes. Aladdin promised the genie that his last wish would be to set him free. His first wish was to travel the world, and so the genie snapped his fingers and a magic carpet appeared. The 3 of them hopped on and they flew away.
Meanwhile back at the palace. Things were not going very well for Jasmine. The Sultan is very mad at Jasmine for running away. So he tested her skill by having professors come and give her challenges. But when you've been learning to be a princess for 20 years it was no challenge for her. Then he tells about her S.T.E.M skills which also were no match for her. Then she tells him about her dream of the world. The Sultana on her daughter's side tries to convince the Sultan to make her go traveling. But he's not convinced and he brings in the new professor of languages and then DUN DUN DUN its Omar and Geewiz. Jasmine recognizes Gee Whiz and thinks Omar is an Impostor trying to find a way to gain our trust. The Sultan got mad and apologized to Omar as he and Geewiz went out and the Sultan growled at Jasmine so she went into her room.
My thoughts and feelings on the production was I liked the production but I didn't like my role because I just stood there and did nothing in the scenes. It was really boring. I would've rather have danced than be a palace guard. Good thing we got to dance at the end. It was good that the production was a success even though Covid-19 caused us a lot of trouble. We still managed to do the production. Overall I think the production turned out to be incredibly good. I feel sad for the people who didn't get to see it.
