Matariki

Ki Ora Bloggers Today I would like to share when we celebrated Matariki yesterday on Thursday the 23rd of July. We traveled in our classes and we went in a rotation. There were 3 activities. The first one I did was a stop motion animation retelling a Matariki story. Or we could make up our own. I worked with Brayden, Farhad and Marcus and we made up one but didn't turn out good. We could either use play dough or we could draw our characters in the story. We did this until morning tea. Which was 11:00 and ended at 11:30. At the end of morning tea it was time for our 2nd activity. We had to draw Maori patterns using Maori Colors then we glue gunned it onto a frame of a kite to make a kite but sadly we couldn't fly it. We did this until lunch which was 1:00 and ended at 1:30 but then we have 20 minutes to eat our lunch so we finished at 1:50. At 1:50 we did our last activity which was making fried bread. We had to wash our hands first though. After that we started to make fried bread. First we got a bowl and then put some flour in. Then we put some water while mixing it after that we pulled all the dough out of the bowl and rolled it to stretch it. Then we cut it into four pieces. We split into four groups I was with Farhad, Brayden, Marcus and Brittany. First we rolled our dough to make it longer. Then we sliced it into 6 pieces. Then we took it to the fryer where we fried our fried bread. Then we all took one and went to Bjorn to get some toppings on. I put chocolate hazelnut peanut butter on mine but I don't like fried bread so I gave mine to someone else. We finished near the end of the school day. We cleaned up and then we went home. I hope you enjoyed my blog post. If you want you can comment below of what you liked about my blog post. Have a great day or night and blog ya later!
